From the Foster:

So far Crunch is a big goofy ray of sunshine. You can see right away that this boy is SKINNY, so it was to be expected that he would be enthusiastic about food.

Let’s just say he’s VERY enthusiastic about food. So much so that his whole body wiggles in delight at meal times. He will even plop his big ol paws on the countertop in an effort to assist you with preparation. We are working on it!

This also means that during treat time you’ll need to have a steady hand and a steady heart. Again, it’s his food enthusiasm coming out! It appears that he is becoming more eager to please (ie: actually sitting when I say sit) and starting to realize that when he does what I ask, there could be a reward.

Crunch is continuing to gain confidence (and weight) in navigating a home. He quickly took to the dog door and loves to explore the backyard with the resident pup. He is gentle and polite when he plays with the resident pup. He seems fast to make friends and I am confident he’ll be quick to win hearts.

Crunch would benefit from a forever family (or caregiver) who can continue to show him the love he deserves. He will be your cuddly best buddy and your meal prep partner.

I anticipate that as Crunch gains strength back (and with that, his barking ability) that he may do better in a home without walls. I’m starting to hear the hound-y baying sound come out between his raspy barks.

There’s a world of possibilities ahead for Crunch and he’s waiting for the right person to bring him there!
