From the Foster:

Hello friends! My name is Pudgy and I hope to be your new best friend! If you enjoy nice strolls to the park and lounging in the sun, I’m your boy! My foster mom and sister say I am the goodest of boys they have ever fostered. I love to be around my people and my tail tends to go a little crazy with thumping of happiness just when you look at me because I know I am safe and loved now. I have had a bit of a rough past to say the least and although my foster family doesn’t know everything I have been through, they know enough to say they can’t believe how gentle and loving I am. I just try to tell them that my past doesn’t matter anymore, I have SO much love to give my new family!

My hobbies include laying in the sun, laying on moms bed, and laying next to her feet while she works all day. I do however love things that squeak and I love to chase tennis balls as long as you don’t throw them “too far” . Mom says I am a tease when I bring the toys back to her because I like to keep the toy and get butt scratches instead. Belly rubs are also my jam. I spend most of my time rolled over on my back so that you have full access for belly rubs, mom thinks it’s silly, I think it’s a friendly reminder to scratch me anytime you look at me.

Things I don’t love are my crate. Last time I was crated I tore up my face trying to escape, it was not fun. Thankfully my mom lets me roam free in the house while she’s out and I just find a good spot to nap because I am such a good boy. I also really REALLY love car rides! Mom takes me with her all the time when she runs errands that dogs are allowed on. I just love to be with her and look out the window, sometimes I even forget to wait for the car door to open before I try to jump in but I just can’t help my excitement!

Last but not least, you should know that I do have Arthritis that needs to be managed by medicine for the rest of my wonderful life. Don’t let that scare you though, just put it on top of my food and ill scarf it right down with my meals!

If you think I’d make a good addition to your family, please apply below! I would most definitely like to meet you.

Through the course of my veterinary care at Secondhand Hounds, it was found that I have significant arthritis in my elbows and hip dysplasia. Thankfully, I am on pain medication which helps, and it is recommended that future adopters keep me on this long-term, and follow up with their primary veterinarian. I also had a few masses removed, but these were benign in nature and completely removed.
