From the Foster:   Turner is a huge lover, and I mean HUGE. He loves to snuggle and give lots and lots of kisses. He's a little floppy as he has big feet that he hasn't fully grown into yet, so he can be a little clumsy at times. He does fairly well on the leash. He doesn't have the best of manners, but we're slowly working on them. He loves other dogs. Him and my 2 year old lab are constantly playing with each other. He doesn't love being crated, but he does just fine left out during the day with my other dog.  He's house trained,  he loves his food, water and treats! He's constantly drinking water and he does make a mess doing so! He's basically a giant, love bug of a pup!

Through the course of my care at Secondhand Hounds it was discovered that I have an angular limb deformity of my left front leg due to an old injury. At this time my leg does not cause me any pain or lameness- but potential adopters should know that my leg may develop arthritis as I age, this should be monitored by a veterinarian and joint supplements and a lean body condition are recommended.  it was also was found that I  have an elevated SDMA level (kidney value) on my bloodwork. This can be an early indicator of kidney disease. It is recommended that potential adopters continue to have my labwork rechecked at a minimum once annually, but ideally once every 6 months to continue monitoring this value.
