From the Foster:

Latifah is a Adorable Doberman who in True Dobie fashion Loves her person, She Loves to be pet and told what a Good Girl she is , it is so Sweet she will put her head in my lap and sometimes just close her eyes in Total Bliss!  Latifah does well with my dogs and she will sometimes engage in a game of chase in  my fenced backyard , she also enjoys playing with toys especially the ones that squeak. She also enjoys marrow bones and bully sticks. Latifah is doing well with her housetraining with being let out on a schedule along with her crate training , She does need to be on 2 meds a day one of them helps with this.. Latifah walks nice on the leash and rides nice in the car. She is used to sleeping in my room at night next to my bed on a nice soft dog bed. Latifah is a older gal who is pretty mellow who enjoys being outside with me when the weather is nice whether it is hanging outside with me in my fenced backyard, engaging in a game of chase with her canine buddies or going for a easy going shorter walk. Latifah wants to be by her person as much as possible and she will let you know if she thinks you are not done petting her by gently nudging your hand. Latifah may have some bumps, some weakness in her back legs but she Loves with her whole heart and to see the spark in her eyes, the joy in her step, her little Dobie tail wag is a feeling that just warms your heart! Who is ready to Welcome Latifah into your home and heart and treat her like the Queen she is meant to be!

FROM OUR VET:

Hello! I have some special health needs, but am still considered adoptable.

As expected for a senior gal, I have some arthritis in my hips and spine. I might need NSAID pain management in the future, but for now am on a lifelong regimen on a high quality joint supplement and Gabapentin (for pain). I have some cloudy eyes diagnosed as "nuclear sclerosis" - there is no change to my vision and is simply a normal change due to aging. I have several lumps and bumps, but they have all been documented and evaluated by the SHH Vet and are benign. My adopters should continue to monitor development of any future masses and have them tested to ensure they aren't concerning. A Grade 2 (out of 6) heart murmur was found during an exam; Xrays were taken and evaluated by a cardiologist. Since there are no changes to my heart/lungs, no further workup is needed and it's simply something to be aware of. Lastly, I do experience some urinary incontinence or "leaking". It is well controlled on a medication called Proin that I receive twice daily, so I should remain on this lifelong as well.
