From the Foster:

Finnegan is such a good boy that just wants to cuddle! He loves playing with other dogs, but does tend to play loudly.  He also will protect your home from any squirrels or strangers passing by. He doesn't love his kennel, but just needs some more positive reinforcement.  However if left out he has no accidents.  Even with his hurt leg he doesn't let it slow him down!

Due to Finnegan being a diligent squirrel watcher, he would do best in a home with no shared walls.

Hello! I'm pending some medical care but still available for adoption. I have a grade 2/4 luxating patella on my left rear knee, and will need an orthopedic surgery completed by a specialist at the SHH Vet Center. I also have arthritis in my hips, and may need hip surgery after my knee surgery (depending on my recovery and at the discretion of the orthopedic surgeon).

The recovery requires some restricted activity and at-home physical therapy for 12 weeks after the surgery. If I do need to have hip surgery, this will also require restricted activity for 8 weeks.

I will be adopted with an FTA (foster to adopt) contract so my adoption can take place, while SHH still manages the financial responsibility of my orthopedic surgery. Any other medical care needed outside of these surgeries covered by the FTA contract would be the responsibility of my new family.
