From the Foster:

Callie is a smart, sweet, and sometimes stubborn girl who loves to spend her time near her people. Her favorite pass time is lounging in a cozy place with her humans close by. She can usually be found on a mound of pillows or blankets she’s created on the couch while we go about our day. Once she’s cozy it takes some convincing to get her to move - she’ll  try to roll over to beg for belly rubs instead, but will eventually give in to your demands, reluctantly. Other than lounging, she also enjoys walks, soft toys and her favorite bone.

She is house and crate trained and is very good at letting you know what she needs.  She has been trained to use dog doorbells to let you know she needs to go out, and also knows a number of other commands like sit, down, potty, bed, etc. She lets us know when she’s ready for bed at night and wraps up in blankets on the bottom of our bed. She would also do fine in a crate or dog bed at night, as long as she’s in the same room as her people.

Callie should not be in a home with other animals and should have a fenced yard since she can be reactive towards other dogs. She does bark occasionally at other dogs in the neighborhood, so a home without shared walls (or understanding neighbors) would be best.

Because of her reactivity to other dogs she would not be good at dog parks/doggy daycare & should be double leashed on walks.   Overall, Callie is incredibly sweet, very well trained, and a great cuddler. She would do great with respectful, dog savvy, kids. Callie can’t wait to provide her people with endless butt wiggles and cuddles
